The Aosta Valley and in particular Courmayeur is one of the best areas in the Alps for backcountry and freeride skiing.

The larch and pine forests scattered with boulders, tree trunks, snow drifts and branches become a playground for this original experience.

The instructors and guides from the Courmayeur Ski and Snowboard School will accompany you and use their years of experience skiing and snowboarding in the area to unveil a new world of freeriding, a whole world away from anything you have ever experienced before.Courmayeur, thank to its strategic position is a real mecca for freeride lovers.

Reasons are really simple:

• From Courmayeur you have access to MonteBianco, the highest peak in Europe, 4810mt
• In Courmayeur, there is a brand new cableway SKYWAY, that runs up the breathtaking glaciers of MontBlanc massif, where there are no groomed trails but only offpiste trails
• In Courmayeur, unlike France, you can Heliski
• Amazing vertical drop: you can ski from 3462 mt at Punta Helbronner to the 1200mt of Courmayeur
• Principal storms come mostly from west/northwest and Courmayeur becomes the Italian resort where it snows the most and has exceptional powder for enthusiast.

Courmayeur’s skiing area can be divided into three main sectors:

• Checrouit Sector (accessible from three point: Courmayeur cableway - Dolonne cabin-lift and ValVeny cableway
• MontBlanc Sector (only offpiste - you need a mountain guide to go there)
• Heliski Sector

Our Valley is unique with its stunning mountains and the huge range of itineraries and sports just waiting to be discovered. As well as the classic freeride itineraries we propose excursions with Splitboards and off-the-beaten-track routes.

Our agency is in partnership with Burton and Scott and you will be able to use all the latest equipment during your excursions. Every day will start with an hour and a half of safety procedures and every skier will be provided with a safety kit: backpack with transponder, shovel and probe and, if requested, Scott’s new ABS system can be rented.
